Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager with a strong background in managing payroll processes and systems, particularly with Workday. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of payroll, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and partner with internal teams to deliver accurate and timely payroll for our employees. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and deep expertise with Workday payroll platforms.Key Responsibilities:Manage the full-cycle payroll processing, including bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payrolls, for employees across multiple locations (Source: Internal Payroll Practices).Oversee and ensure accurate setup, maintenance, and administration of employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments Review and approve payroll reports and calculations, such as bonuses, commissions, tax deductions, and withholdings, for accuracy and compliance (Source: Payroll Processing Guidelines).Leverage ADP software to streamline payroll processes, generate reports, and troubleshoot payroll system issues as neededEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax filings, wage garnishments, and reporting requirements (Source: Payroll Regulatory Compliance Standards).Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to internal stakeholders, including Finance, HR, and Leadership teams (Source: Financial Reporting Overview).Monitor payroll expenses and prepare analysis to support budgeting and financial planning (Source: Financial Analysis Guidelines).Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving issues promptly while delivering exceptional customer service (Source: RH Core Values - Service).Coordinate annually with external auditors during payroll-related audits and reviews (Source: Audit Best Practices).Maintain and update payroll policies, procedures, and controls to reflect changes in regulations or business needs (Source: Policy Update Guidelines).Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (Source: Industry Educational Standards).A minimum of 5+ years of payroll management experience with in-depth Workday system knowledge (Source: Technology Requirements).Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing and tax regulations (Source: Compliance Standards).Exceptional leadership skills with previous experience managing payroll teams or processes preferred (Source: Leadership Development Guide).Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to work with large datasets and perform data analysis (Source: Excel Expertise Requirement).Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills (Source: Payroll Manager Traits).Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation or similar certification is a plus but not required (Source: Professional Certification Standards).
