Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with strong expertise in the FMCG / Consumer Products / Food & Beauty manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading process engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept and FEED through detailed design, commissioning, and handover to operations. This role requires hands-on experience in hygienic process design, equipment selection, process optimization, and multidisciplinary project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage process engineering activities across all project phases including Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Commissioning, and Handover.Prepare core engineering deliverables such as Design Basis, Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Heat & Mass Balance, P&IDs, Valve Lists, Line Lists, and Equipment Datasheets.Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Instrumentation, Operations, Process Safety, and Construction teams.Design hygienic process systems ensuring compliance with sanitary engineering principles such as dead-leg free piping, self-draining systems, contamination prevention, and cleanability.Select and size process equipment including sanitary pumps, hygienic valves, heat exchangers, storage tanks, mixing vessels, CIP/SIP systems, and utility equipment.Perform hydraulic calculations, pump sizing, line sizing, valve sizing, and material selection.Support IQ/OQ validation activities for process equipment such as tanks, pumps, chillers, compressors, reactors, mixers, and related systems.Participate in 3D model reviews to ensure compliance with process design requirements.Review vendor drawings, perform technical bid evaluations, and support FAT/SAT activities.Conduct construction quality reviews to ensure adherence to engineering design standards.Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering procedures, workflows, and standards.Travel within the US or Europe based on project requirements.Required QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.5–8 years of relevant experience in FMCG / Consumer Products / Food / Beauty manufacturing.Strong expertise in hygienic process design, clean utilities, and non-Newtonian fluid systems.Experience designing mixing tanks, storage tanks, heat exchangers, CIP/SIP systems, and utility systems.Knowledge of process safety studies including HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessments.Familiarity with international standards such as ASME BPE, 3A, EHEDG, B31.3, ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code.Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multicultural environments.Preferred Software SkillsAspenTech HYSYSAFT FathomAVEVA P&IDEmerson PRV2SizeAutoCAD
