We offer an array of services for manufacturers, installers, and renewable energy consumers, including Solution Design & Engineering, Program Management, EVSE Experts, Incentive Programs, and COIL iQ – the leading Renewable Services Software Platform.Role Summary The Lead Electrical Engineer role reports directly to the Director of Installations and Field Operations and oversees all EV/microgrid installations from engineering/solution design to utility coordination and permitting. This role will be responsible for the development and quality control of plansets, utility coordination, and permitting. This is a critical role in the company to ensure the success of service deliverables based on KPI and performance improvements. Function as lead engineer for national electrical deployments (L2, DCFC, Switchgear, microgrids, etc.) with direct reports. Manage an offshore team of engineers and coordinators based in the Philippines with meetings that align with offshore hours as neededMaintain tracking of key performance indicators (KPI) for each area of the business, including and improving on timelines for each function (permitting, engineering, utility coordination, interconnection application) & revision processes (number of plan revisions, permitting revision, etc.) Proactive management of the permitting process, including meetings with plan reviewers and regular follow-upsProactive management of the utility process, including meeting with utility companies, reviewing load demands, and equipment approvalAttend onsite meetings with utilities on an as-needed basisMaintain and continuously update a system for assigning plansets to teams to track success & productivity.Maintain a weekly reporting dashboard and continually implement quality/performance goals with direct reportsWork closely with the Project Management, Estimating, and Sales to ensure alignment between cross-company functions.Operate as the single point of contact for all pre-construction escalations What You Need for this Position 5+ years of experience in the electrical/energy/construction industry2+ years of management experience with direct reportsAdvanced education or a combination of experience in electrical engineeringAbility to work in CADPE License, preferably in CA, CO, WAHighly organized Creative problem solvingSelf starterDetailed and meticulous with great follow-through to meet deadlinesGreat communication skills, both in writing and verbal communicationMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future Employer sponsorshipPotential of 25% travel to job sites for client, utility, or installer meetingsWhat's In It for You $100,000-$120,000 total salary DOE401k with match Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Flexible Paid Time OffPerformance-based annual bonusCOIL, Inc. is committed to building diverse teams.
