Temporary Document Control Specialist
Location: Everett, MA | On-sitePay Range: $30-$35/hourSchedule: Full-time, Temporary | Monday-Friday, 7-4Required: 2+ years of experience in document control, project coordination, or administrative supportApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.About the OpportunityA project-focused organization is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Document Control Specialist to manage the lifecycle of project correspondence, technical documentation, and client deliverables. This role will coordinate internal document reviews and approvals, maintain accurate document control logs, and ensure submissions, comments, and responses are tracked through completion.Qualifications & Skills2+ years of experience in document control, project administration, project coordination, or a similar role preferredExperience supporting engineering, construction, transportation, infrastructure, technology, or other document-intensive projects preferredStrong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detailAbility to manage a high volume of documents, revisions, comments, deadlines, and competing prioritiesStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePointExperience with electronic document management systems (EDMS), project collaboration platforms, or client document-submittal systems preferredAbility to consistently apply document numbering, revision control, naming conventions, filing requirements, and document management proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to professionally coordinate with and follow up with technical SMEs, project teams, and project leadership regarding outstanding actions and deadlinesAbility to work independently while effectively coordinating across multiple technical disciplines and project stakeholdersKey Job FunctionsMaintain the project document control process, electronic repository, and official project recordsEnsure project documents meet established formatting, naming, numbering, revision control, and filing requirementsReview documents for administrative and document-control compliance and verify required metadata before submissionMaintain document registers, submittal logs, transmittal logs, comment logs, revision histories, and other document-control trackersCoordinate formal document submissions through client document management systems (EDMS) and project collaboration platformsTrack document status, revisions, approvals, review comments, and required resubmissionsDistribute client review comments to appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), track resolutions, and follow up on outstanding actions and deadlinesCoordinate revised document packages and verify responses are incorporated before client resubmissionProvide project management with document control reports on outstanding documents, overdue reviews, unresolved comments, and upcoming deadlinesSupport project audits, quality reviews, and client requests by retrieving complete documentation and histories, while coordinating with technical teams to maintain accurate project recordsApply TodayReady to put your expertise in document control, project coordination, and technical documentation to work?
