Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Hematology/Oncology to start as soon as credentialing is completed. The provider will deliver outpatient oncology and hematology care while working closely with a multidisciplinary team. This position has the potential to transition into a permanent role if the candidate is a strong fit. Schedule & Dates Start Date: As soon as credentialedCredentialing Timeframe: Up to 90 days (emergency privileges available)Shift Schedule: Monday FridayShift Time: 8:00 AM 5:00 PMPosition Type: Full-time (5 days per week)FTE: 1.0 Job Details & Responsibilities Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care in an ambulatory clinic setting.Manage and treat patients using the co-located Solari Infusion Center, which includes 15 private infusion bays designed for patient comfort and safety.Deliver comprehensive oncology care, including diagnosis support, treatment planning, symptom management, and follow-up care.Collaborate with nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacists, and research coordinators to guide patients through the full cancer care journey from diagnosis through survivorship.Participate in a multidisciplinary care model, including coordination with inpatient oncology teams and specialty services.Support patient management within a 17-bed inpatient oncology unit, including daily multidisciplinary rounds and weekly tumor boards.Utilize hospital resources such as:Rapid diagnosis clinicTwo radiation therapy centersClinical trials programsGenetic counseling and tele-genetics servicesSurvivorship and bereavement programsKatz Cancer Resource CenterManage approximately patients per day.Document and manage patient records using Cerner EMR.Support Staff & ResourcesNurse navigatorsSocial workersPharmacy and oral medication liaisonResearch coordinatorsGenetic counselorsDedicated oncology RN staffReason for Coverage: Existing physicians are leaving to start their own practice. Required Skills & Qualifications Licensure & CertificationActive California License (required dealbreaker)Active DEA Certification (required)BLS Certification (highly preferred; may be obtained during credentialing)Education & TrainingCompletion of an accredited postgraduate training program (required)Board CertificationBoard Certified in Medical Oncology (highly preferred)Will consider Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/OncologyExperience & SkillsExperience providing hematology and oncology care in an outpatient or ambulatory settingAbility to work within a multidisciplinary cancer care teamFamiliarity with oncology infusion services and treatment coordinationProficiency with Cerner EMRBackground RequirementsClean malpractice and background history required
