We live by core values that guide how we work, communicate, and succeed:Respect Above All – Lead with empathy and professionalismTake Initiative – Act decisively and have tough conversationsCommit to Consistency – Daily focus drives long-term successTeam-Oriented – Win and learn togetherInnovate to Solve – Think creatively and focus on solutionsAuthenticity Matters – Bring your full self and contribute meaningfullyDeliver Results – Be accountable and achieve high-quality outcomesCore Focus:Purpose: To Keep Teams Going and GrowingNiche: Specialty Contract Staffing SolutionsWhat You’ll Do:People Leadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop the HR teamSet team priorities, manage workloads, and foster a collaborative and high-performing HR functionServe as an escalation point for employee and manager inquiries for both internal employees and contractorsHR Operations & TechnologyOversee HR technology platforms and tools in partnership with the HR & People Ops team memberEnsure systems are properly maintained, updated, and leveraged to streamline HR processesIdentify opportunities for process improvements and automation within HR operationsBenefits AdministrationManage the administration of employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, retirement, and ancillary plansServe as primary point of contact for benefits vendors and brokersLead annual open enrollment planning and communicationTalent Acquisition SupportPartner with the TA Recruiter to support hiring efforts across the organizationCollaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and ensure a positive candidate experienceOversee offer letter creation and approval processes in alignment with compensation guidelinesEmployee Relations & Conflict ResolutionManage employee relations matters with empathy, discretion, and a commitment to fairnessConduct or oversee workplace investigations as neededAdvise managers and leadership on performance management, coaching, and disciplinary processesCompliance, Policies & Employment LawEnsure company policies and practices are compliant with federal, Massachusetts state, and applicable local employment laws and regulationsMaintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies on a regular basisMonitor regulatory changes and proactively communicate updates to leadershipManage documentation related to employment offers, changes, and terminationsFacilities OversightServe as the point of contact for office and facilities needs at the Wayburn locationCoordinate with team to manage vendors, building management, and internal stakeholders to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming work environmentManage facilities-related budgets and vendor relationshipsTeam StructureThe HR & People Operations Manager will directly manage a two-person team:Talent Acquisition (TA) Recruiter – responsible for full-cycle recruiting and candidate experienceHR & People Operations Specialist – responsible for HR administration, HRIS/technology systems support, and day-to-day support of people operations, including facilities and events.QualificationsRequired5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR & People Operations Manager or HR Lead capacityDemonstrated experience managing or mentoring HR team membersStrong working knowledge of Massachusetts and federal employment law and HR complianceExperience administering employee benefits programsProficiency with HRIS platforms and HR technology toolsExceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skillsHigh level of discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive mattersPreferredExperience overseeing or supporting a recruiting/talent acquisition functionFamiliarity with facilities management or office operations responsibilitiesSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certificationExperience in a multi-entity or holding company environment
