This role is ideal for an early-career communications professional passionate about growing sales and digital and print engagement for a fast paced commercial flooring company. The coordinator will support day-to-day content development, campaign execution, and digital platform management, as well as helping create social media calendars.Reports to: SVP Creative & MarketingResponsibilitiesContent Creation & Digital Execution (50%) Draft and schedule social media content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest) using approved templates, captions, and assets. Write and format email campaigns and monthly newsletters via Mailchimp or similar platforms Maintain and update websites and blog with news, events, and storytelling content Draft and publish feature stories, program highlights, and community spotlights Collaborate with internal staff to gather stories, photos, quotes, and updates Monitor and respond to basic social media inquiries and engagementDesign, Asset Management & Visual Storytelling (30%) Create graphics using Adobe Creative Suite templates aligned with brand guidelines Maintain and organize vG's photo and marketing asset libraries Contribute to simple video/audio storyboarding (editing not required, but interest is welcomed) Ensure consistency with vG's visual identity and messaging Collaborate with the Creative Department on PowerPoint presentations for SalesPlatform Support, Analytics & Admin (20%) Compile basic monthly reports (email open rates, social media analytics, website traffic) Assist with internal communications such as staff updates and event invites Provide administrative support for department-wide projects as needed May be asked to work on tradeshow project coordinating at certain times of the year Help to update databases from various platformsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field preferred, with 1-3 years of relevant experience; equivalent work experience may substitute for formal educationKnowledge and SkillsExcellent writing and editing skills with attention to clarity, tone, and voiceFamiliarity with social media management tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Buffer)Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant ContactBasic Adobe skills for template-based graphicsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentInterest in storytelling, community engagement, and equity-driven workFamiliarity with AI tools and researching, streamlining workflows with AI agents (preferred)BenefitsHealth Insurance: Medical, Vision & DentalVoluntary Benefits: Life insurance, long-term disability, and short-term disabilityRetirement: van Gelder matches up to 3% on 401k, eligible for match after one yearPaid Time Off: Includes 17 PTO days (prorated, includes sick days)Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Supportive services available for employeesWorking ConditionsWork is generally performed in an office environment.
