Sr Net work AdministratorArlington VA - OnsiteLong term  Responsibilities:Leverage advanced analytical and technical skills to design and implement infrastructure solutions that enhance mission execution and support command decision-making.Support the integration of new technologies and equipment within lab environments, including development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies.Assess network topology and device configurations, identify critical security vulnerabilities, and recommend security best practices.Provide user support for Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) such as Citrix, as well as MacOS and iOS platforms.Troubleshoot and resolve a broad range of technical issues, from basic to complex network problemsImplement granular access controls, monitor system performance and accessibility, establish and maintain backup protocols, and ensure system security.Diagnose and resolve complex enterprise storage issues across local and wide area networks, including replication strategy support and remediation of storage-related incidents.Design, build, and maintain robust network environments by configuring routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as updating network devices and performing IP address audits.Ensure optimal network performance by troubleshooting issues, enforcing system standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize infrastructure.Secure network systems through policy enforcement, access controls, and continuous monitoring.Required Skills:Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferredMust be able to obtain DHS Suitability5+ years of directly relevant experience in network administrationProficiency with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix and MacOSStrong knowledge and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNsExperience and knowledge of networking and network administrationSkilled in working with virtual desktop environments (Citrix, VMware)Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locationsDesired Skills:Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switchesExperience with converged infrastructure solutions (e.g., FlexPod) and NetApp storage systemsProficiency with Cisco Intersight, vCenter, and virtualization automation/optimizationStrong documentation skills for technical procedures and SOPsCapable of creating and maintaining network diagramsDemonstrated experience in network design, implementation, and performance tuningProject management capabilities and excellent time-management skillsExpertise in hardening network devices and infrastructure for enhanced securityRequired Education:BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma and 7+ years network administration, network engineering or systems administration experience. Desired Certifications:Network+CCNA
