HR Operations ManagerThe HR Operations Manager leads day-to-day HR operations with primary accountability for HR systems administration (Workday and ADP) and benefits administration. This role partners closely with Payroll and the broader HR team to ensure accurate employee data, efficient and compliant processes, and high-quality employee experience. The HR Operations Manager drives continuous improvement across HR workflows from hire to retire, manages benefits vendors and system-related issues, and provides reporting and insights to support decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary HR operations owner for Workday and ADP, ensuring data integrity, consistent processes, and effective system utilization.Administer core employee lifecycle transactions (e.g., hires, job/position changes, compensation changes, terminations, and organizational updates) in alignment with policy, approvals, and audit requirements.Partner with HRIS/IT (as applicable) to support configuration and maintenance of workflows/business processes, eligibility rules, and security roles; coordinate testing and validation for changes.Manage system updates and enhancements, including release impact assessment, user communications, job aids, and training/support for HR partners and managers.Own end-to-end benefits administration, including eligibility, enrollments/life events, carrier file feeds, billing/premium reconciliation, and employee issue resolution.Manage benefits vendors and broker/consultant partnerships; support renewals, plan changes, and service-level performance monitoring.Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions, arrears/retroactivity handling, and timely resolution of pay-impacting data issues; support routine audits and reconciliations.Design and maintain HR dashboards and reports that provide insight into key workforce metrics (headcount, attrition, tenure, benefits participation, and other trends).Evaluate and improve HR processes, controls, and documentation to increase efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience; lead cross-functional projects and change management as needed.Develop, maintain, and communicate HR operational procedures and documentation (including handbook/policies support as assigned) to ensure consistent employee and manager guidance.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of progressive HR operations experience, with significant hands-on responsibility for HRIS administration and benefits administration.Demonstrated experience administering Workday and ADP (or comparable HRIS/payroll ecosystems), including troubleshooting, data audits, and end-user support.Working knowledge of benefits operations (eligibility, enrollments/life events, carrier file feeds, and reconciliation) and vendor/broker management.Experience partnering with Payroll on deductions, reconciliations, and pay-impacting HR transactions (including retroactivity/arrears concepts).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to create and interpret HR metrics and reporting; advanced Excel skills preferred.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and sound judgment.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Skills and ExperienceWorkday and ADP administration: HR data structures, workflow/process support, security concepts, troubleshooting, and end-user enablement.Benefits administration: eligibility rules, life events, Open Enrollment, carrier file feeds, billing/premium reconciliation, and employee inquiry resolution.Payroll partnership: deduction set-up/validation, audit support, retroactivity/arrears coordination, and pay-impacting transaction controls.Data governance: documentation discipline, approvals, audit trails, data quality checks, and root-cause analysis.Reporting and analytics: recurring and ad hoc HR reporting (e.g., headcount, turnover, participation, data quality); strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.Vendor and stakeholder management: coordination with brokers, carriers, third-party administrators, Payroll, Finance, IT, and HR partners.Project and change management: requirements gathering, testing, communications, training, and adoption for system/process enhancements.Compliance awareness: familiarity with HR/benefits operational compliance expectations (e.g., ERISA, COBRA/ACA processes, HIPAA/privacy as applicable).Customer service: responsive, discreet, and employee-centric approach to issue resolution.
