*Position Overview*
ITC is seeking an experienced Technical Lead / Senior Predictive Readiness Analyst to support Headquarters Air Force Readiness Division (AF/A33R) at the Pentagon.
The successful candidate will serve as the senior technical and analytical leader for the Air Force Readiness Analysis and Decision Support (AFRADS) program. AFRADS provides senior Department of the Air Force leaders with data-driven readiness assessments, predictive analytics, decision-support capabilities, and strategic recommendations that influence readiness policy, force management decisions, resource allocation, operational risk assessments, and future force design.
This position operates at the intersection of operational readiness, advanced analytics, force management, software modernization, enterprise data integration, and executive decision support. The Technical Lead will direct analytical efforts, oversee predictive readiness capabilities, and support senior leaders across Headquarters Air Force, the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of War, and Congress.
The ideal candidate combines operational Air Force experience with strong analytical expertise, technical leadership skills, and the ability to translate complex readiness issues into actionable recommendations for senior decision makers.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Lead a multidisciplinary team of readiness analysts, data scientists, and technical professionals supporting AFRADS.
* Direct development, modernization, validation, and sustainment of predictive readiness models and decision-support capabilities.
* Conduct readiness assessments supporting Air Force, Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of War, and Congressional stakeholders.
* Integrate data from readiness, personnel, logistics, maintenance, training, deployment, and financial systems to support enterprise-level analysis.
* Support readiness assessment and forecasting efforts within the context of AFFORGEN, Global Force Management, and Air Force operational planning processes.
* Assess the readiness impacts of policy decisions, force management options, operational demands, and resource allocation decisions.
* Develop executive-level briefings, decision support products, technical papers, and analytical reports for senior Department of the Air Force leadership.
* Lead responses to high-visibility readiness inquiries and short-notice taskings from senior leaders.
* Support modernization initiatives involving predictive analytics, data science, artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced visualization technologies.
* Defend analytical methodologies, readiness models, and assessment conclusions during external reviews, audits, and senior leader engagements.
* Foster continuous improvement and innovation across the AFRADS analytical enterprise.
* Collaborate with Air Staff, MAJCOMs, Joint Staff, OSD, and other stakeholders to improve readiness assessment capabilities and decision-support processes.
*Required Qualifications*
All qualifications should be clearly reflected within the candidate's resume.
* Active Top Secret security clearance.
* Master's degree in Operations Research, Analytics, Data Science, Modeling & Simulation, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Military Operations, Management, or a related field.
Equivalent combinations of education and directly applicable experience may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.
* Fifteen (15) years of combined experience supporting military operations, readiness analysis, force management, advanced analytics, operations research, strategic planning, or related Department of Defense missions.
* Extensive knowledge of Air Force operations, readiness reporting, DRRS-S, AFFORGEN, and associated readiness systems and processes.
* Experience conducting readiness assessments and analytical studies supporting strategic-level decision making.
* Experience leading analytical, operational, or technical teams.
* Experience developing and delivering executive-level briefings and decision-quality products for General Officers, Senior Executives, or equivalent leadership.
* Experience applying quantitative and qualitative analytical methods to solve complex operational or organizational challenges.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced Headquarters-level environment.
* Experience interacting with senior military leaders, government executives, and external stakeholders.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Previous service or support experience within Headquarters Air Force, Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Combatant Commands, MAJCOMs, or equivalent strategic-level organizations.
* Experience supporting Strategic Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (SPPBE) activities and resource allocation analyses.
* Experience with predictive analytics, modeling and simulation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science applications.
* Experience supporting readiness reporting and readiness assessment efforts across multiple Air Force mission areas.
* Familiarity with Envision, DRRS-S, AFFORGEN, DCAPES, MilPDS, MPES, and related Department of Defense data environments.
* Prior military leadership experience at the squadron, group, wing, MAJCOM, numbered air force, or headquarters level.
* Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Lean Six Sigma, DAWIA, or similar professional certifications.
* Experience conducting or supporting large-scale enterprise analytics, decision-support, or operational assessment initiatives.
