Taishoken was founded in Tokyo in 1951 and is known as the birthplace of tsukemen.
Our San Francisco location is celebrating its 4th anniversary this year. We specialize in ramen while also offering a selection of appetizers and alcoholic beverages for our guests to enjoy.

*Job Summary*
We are looking for an energetic and experienced *Restaurant Manager* to lead our front-of-house team and oversee daily restaurant operations.
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for staff management, scheduling, hiring and recruitment, training, guest service, and maintaining smooth and efficient daily operations.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who communicates well with the team, maintains high standards of hospitality and cleanliness, and is committed to creating a welcoming experience for both our guests and employees.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Create and manage staff schedules and ensure proper staffing and shift coverage
* Manage recruitment and hiring, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and onboarding
* Oversee daily FOH operations and assign staff positions
* Train and guide team members on service standards, menu knowledge, POS systems, and restaurant procedures
* Monitor team performance and continuously improve service quality and efficiency
* Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally, including refunds and appropriate resolutions when necessary
* Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all FOH areas, including drink stations and restrooms
* Manage and order operational supplies, tools, and materials
* Coordinate with vendors and third-party delivery platforms, including menu updates
* Troubleshoot day-to-day operational and facility issues
* Complete closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation
* Prepare daily reports covering operations, staffing, guest feedback, and any issues or corrective actions
Additional duties may be assigned as needed based on business operations.
*What We’re Looking For*
* At least *2 years of management experience* in a full-service restaurant with dining and bar service
* A proven track record of strong performance and career growth
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
* Dependable, motivated, and responsible with a strong work ethic
* A hands-on management style and willingness to work alongside the team
* Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, including busy peak shifts
* Ability to stand, walk, sit, and squat for extended periods
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 51.5 per week
