Senior Electrical Design Engineer-MEP

Position OverviewPTS Advance is partnering with a well-established MEP consulting firm in the Orlando market to identify an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design and delivery of complex building systems projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile commercial, institutional, and mixed-use developments while collaborating with a multidisciplinary engineering team.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical power, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems for building projectsPrepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and calculationsPerform load Dividend studies and equipment sizingCoordinate designs with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural teamsEnsure compliance with NEC, NFPA, Florida Building Code, and local AHJ requirementsSupport construction administration, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site visitsParticipate in client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycleMentor junior engineers and designers as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline10+ years of experience in MEP electrical????? design (consulting environment preferred)Strong working knowledge of NEC and building electrical systemsExperience with commercial, healthcare, aviation, education, or industrial facilities is a plusProficiency with AutoCAD and/or RevitExcellent communication and coordination skillsPreferred CredentialsExperience working with Florida-based projects and AHJsFamiliarity with power distribution, lighting controls, and emergency systemsCompetitive base salary (commensurate with experience)Career growth and leadership development opportunitiesHybrid or flexible work options (depending on client)Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionDesignIndustriesEngineering Services and Design ServicesJ-18808-Ljbffr
