Construction Manager- West Houston

POSITION SUMMARY:The Construction Managers will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the new home construction from start to finish, ensuring that schedules and budgets are followed. The role starts with managing the construction of multiple homes in an assigned subdivision from permit to closing by scheduling job site subcontractors, scheduling several homebuyer walk-throughs, and inspections to ensure the work performed meets quality standards and adheres to company guidelines and specifications. The location of the assigned subdivision is determined by the Area Construction Manager and subject to change as needed in the interest of the Company.Work Location: On-site - San Antonio, Texas (Northeast)ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Assuming overall responsibility for the construction of homes in a specified community and/or townManaging assistants and guiding and directing trade contractors and suppliersAdhering to production schedules, contractor schedules and cost control policies and proceduresEnsuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and processesCompleting all warranty requests for current homeowners in a timely fashionCommunicating effectively with customersMaintaining open and effective communication with the home officeEXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Minimum 2 years new home building experience preferredNatural born leader of both people and processStrong sense of urgencyAbility to multi-task and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsPositive attitude and the desire to work in a team environmentNew home construction experience requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretchingMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Will require travel to multiple construction sites where temperature, weather and noise may varyMust be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsiteFirst America Homes, a Signorelli Company is committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all.
