Payroll Specialist (Hybrid)Industry: HealthcarePay Rate: $21.00/hourSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CSTWork Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote after training)OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with hands-on payroll processing experience to support a high-volume payroll environment.In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll transactions, reviewing time and attendance data, handling payroll adjustments, and supporting employees and managers with payroll-related questions.This is a great opportunity for someone who understands payroll processes, can identify discrepancies, and enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.Work Arrangement DetailsInitial training will be fully onsiteAfter training: Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 remote)Candidates working remotely must have:Approved workstation setupReliable internet connectionOwn equipment (company will not provide for remote work)Candidates without remote setup must work fully onsiteKey ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll transactions in Workday, including:Pay adjustmentsEarnings correctionsRetroactive pay calculationsReview and audit time and attendance data for accuracyAdminister time tracking and absence management processesInvestigate payroll discrepancies and resolve issues before payroll deadlinesProcess retro pay and benefit-related payroll correctionsRun, review, and reconcile payroll and timekeeping reportsRespond to employee and manager inquiries (AskHR and other channels)Provide guidance on payroll, timekeeping, and absence processesMaintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policiesSupport payroll audits and special projectsRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED2–3+ years of payroll processing experience in a corporate environmentExperience with:Payroll transactions and correctionsRetroactive pay adjustmentsTimekeeping processesExperience with payroll systems such as:Workday, ADP, UKG, PeopleSoft, SAP, or similarStrong understanding of:Payroll terminologyEarnings, deductions, and taxesTimekeeping and absence managementAdvanced Microsoft Outlook and Excel skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and strong math skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlinesStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Experience supporting a full payroll cycleAbility to explain:Retro pay calculationsTimecard correctionsPayroll adjustmentsExperience auditing payroll data and resolving discrepanciesPreferred QualificationsWorkday Payroll, Time Tracking, or Absence Management experienceCertified Payroll Professional (CPP) or working toward certificationExperience supporting payroll for large employee populationsExperience with payroll audits and reconciliationsKnowledge of payroll compliance and wage/hour regulationsWhat We’re Looking ForWe are seeking someone who has hands-on payroll processing experience, not just administrative support.The Ideal Candidate CanAccurately process payroll transactionsIdentify and resolve payroll issues independentlyClearly explain payroll concepts and calculationsWork efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment#INDEPI
