This position manages day-to-day operations and maintains the highest levels of retail standards. The Store Manager is accountable for implementing new concepts, ensuring compliance of legal requirements, maximizing sales and profit, and meeting or exceeding company financials and operating goals. The Manager provides leadership and motivation to promote a culture reflective of Save Mart's mission and winning behaviors and develops a store management team to ensure consistent execution of company programs and succession planning.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesProvides customers with a remarkable shopping experience by demonstrating, training, and holding store associates accountable for excellent customer service.Drives improvement of the overall customer experience and quality of processes, products, and services to increase sales.Develops and maintains a customer-focused organization by modeling and communicating associate and customer connection behaviors throughout the store.Achieves total store financials (sales, profit and loss, projections, metrics, and analysis) by identifying, defining, and implementing best store practices and optimization strategies.Leads, mentors and develops direct reports with a focus on accountability and high performance outcomes.Oversees total store conditions (store safety, food safety, protection of company assets) and ensures compliance programs are met/passed.Utilizes resources to improve productivity, flexibility and efficiencies of labor and the shopping experience.Represents the store as the primary link to Save Mart leadership teams and ensures effective implementation of business plans.Acts as company ambassador to build company/store image through community involvement.Acts as Quality Workplace leader to improve working environment, employee relations, morale, productivity, and retention.Oversees overall inventory and ordering processes.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation: Four-year college degree (or equivalent knowledge gained through formal education, specialized training, or additional job experience).Experience: Five years management experience with a minimum of one year as Assistant Store Manager.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, customer service, mentoring, training, decision making, delegation, negotiation, organization, administration, and financial skills; knowledge of store operations, compliance, financials, inventory management, employment law, and hiring practices.Other: Must be available to work a variety of required retail hours.Physical: Requires standing and other physical movements on a frequent basis; lifting up to 40 lbs. without assistance.BenefitsCompetitive benefits package (Health, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, 401K), tuition reimbursement and scholarship opportunities, vacation and personal holidays, and in-store purchase discounts.Hiring pay range: $98,473.00 - 115,000.00EEO Statement: The Save Mart Companies is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we welcome resumes from individuals who will contribute to our diverse workforce.Reference: req41113J-18808-Ljbffr
