Manufacturing Engineer
Summary: GrowIt Technologies is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for one of our Industrial customers. The Manufacturing Engineer designs, implements, and improves manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role partners closely with production, quality, supply chain, and design teams to support new product introductions and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Engineer focuses on applying lean manufacturing principles, optimizing production performance, and sustaining reliable processes that enable cost-effective operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing production cells using lean and single-piece flow principles, including fixture and equipment design, fabrication, and troubleshooting. • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify root causes of supplier and production defects, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness. • Drive KPI improvement initiatives (Safety, Quality, OEE, OTD, efficiency, capacity) using structured problem-solving, job hazard analyses, and process FMEAs. • Support NPIs and process changes by developing production processes, training operators, maintaining SAP routings, and applying kaizen to reduce lead time and improve labor productivity. • Analyze manufacturing data and support departmental and capital projects from proposal through Release-to-Production (RTP), prioritizing efforts based on impact. • Complete Role Standard Work and deliver all other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at the production floor and cross-functional team level. • Proficiency in root cause analysis and RCCM-based problem solving in manufacturing environments. • Hands-on electro-mechanical troubleshooting capability for production equipment and processes. • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Standard Work, basic process mapping, kaizen). • Basic to intermediate CAD proficiency (NX or SolidWorks preferred) for production tooling and fixture design. • Basic CAD proficiency or willingness to learn, with experience in NX or SolidWorks preferred. • Ability to design and develop basic production tooling using CAD, with NX or SolidWorks strongly preferred. Education and Experience: • Bachelor of Science degree Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial engineering or a related field with approximately 3–6 years of manufacturing engineering experience. • Experience supporting production operations, continuous improvement efforts, or industrialization of new or existing products.
