This role combines hands-on content development with team leadership, ensuring the creation of high-quality, user-friendly documentation for complex products and systems.Role OverviewThe Senior Technical Writer will guide a team of writers in producing clear, accurate, and structured documentation. This position focuses on establishing standards, improving processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure documentation aligns with technical, regulatory, and customer requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the creation of comprehensive technical documentation for complex systems and productsCollaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to gather, validate, and refine technical contentTranslate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentationEstablish and maintain documentation standards, style guides, and best practicesReview and edit content to ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarityEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirementsMentor and support junior technical writers, fostering skill development and team growthContinuously improve documentation processes and workflows for efficiency and qualityStay updated on emerging tools, technologies, and trends in technical communicationRequired QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, including team leadership or project ownershipStrong understanding of documentation standards, writing frameworks, and style guidesProficiency with authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similarExcellent writing, editing, and proofreading skillsAbility to simplify complex technical information for diverse audiencesExperience managing documentation projects and collaborating across teamsStrong focus on quality and customer experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, or a related fieldMaster’s degree (preferred)Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management capabilitiesExperience working in regulated or technical industriesAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentKey Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Writing & DocumentationContent Strategy & StandardizationTeam Leadership & MentorshipEditing & Quality AssuranceCross-functional CollaborationProcess Improvement & GovernanceCommunication & Stakeholder Engagement
