Adv Quality Inspector 1

Quality InspectorPerform detailed inspections of electronic and mechanical parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, workmanship standards, and quality requirements. Support defect evaluation, corrective actions, and quality documentation in a manufacturing or defense environment.Responsibilities:Inspect electronic and mechanical components, assemblies, and finished products for compliance with quality standards and specificationsPerform real-time defect evaluation and identify nonconforming materials or workmanship issuesInterpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Verify compliance with IPC, J-STD, MIL-STD, and internal quality standardsPrepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, inspection reports, and nonconformance recordsVerify implementation of corrective actions and support rework validation activitiesConduct inspections using electronic or mechanical test configurations and inspection equipmentEnsure compliance with ESD handling procedures and controlled manufacturing processesInterface with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Suppliers to resolve quality-related issuesSupport continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for process optimization and AI-enabled efficienciesQualifications:U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal LawHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 4 years of directly related quality inspection experienceWorking knowledge of electrical theory and electronic assembly inspectionExperience with IPC and military workmanship standards including: J-STD-001, J-STD-002, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750Knowledge of ESD control procedures, quality systems, and process control techniquesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T requirementsExperience setting up basic electronic or mechanical test configurationsStrong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldX-Ray inspection certification or qualificationExperience supporting aerospace, defense, military, or high-reliability manufacturing environmentsFamiliarity with root cause analysis and corrective action processesExperience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality metricsMoseley Technical Services, Inc. is an AA/EEO/Veterans/Disabled Employer.What to Expect:Applicants selected for employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation, which may include education, criminal, and work history verifications.Accepted applicants will be eligible for benefits, including medical and supplemental insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
