About EphapsysWe leverage ephaptic coupling to pioneer a new paradigm for empowering and governing autonomous AI agents across industries.As billions of agents spread across clouds, devices, and biological substrates, Ephapsys aims to be the decentralized identity and integrity layer that keeps every agent trusted, safe, and under control.The RoleWe are seeking a Security Advisor to help shape the security posture of Ephapsys as we build the identity, integrity, and control layer for autonomous AI agents.This is a strategic advisory role for an experienced security leader who can strengthen our thinking across AI security, platform security, applied cryptography, and secure systems architecture.You will work with the founder and engineering team to identify critical risks early, review architectural decisions, and help guide the company toward security practices appropriate for a high-trust AI infrastructure platform.ResponsibilitiesSecurity StrategyAdvise on the long-term security roadmap across the Ephapsys platform and SDKHelp prioritize the highest-risk security issues in product, infrastructure, and deployment designProvide independent review of major trust, identity, and integrity assumptionsGuide security tradeoffs appropriate for an early-stage but security-critical companyArchitecture & Threat ModelingReview system architecture for attack surfaces across cloud, edge, and agent runtime environmentsContribute to threat modeling for AI systems, model integrity, agent identity, and deployment workflowsAdvise on secure-by-design patterns for APIs, SDKs, model artifacts, and control planesHelp assess the security implications of new features before they become embedded in the platformGovernance & ReadinessHelp define security practices aligned with enterprise and regulated-environment expectationsProvide guidance on security controls, incident readiness, and trust posture communicationSupport the maturation of internal security processes without introducing unnecessary bureaucracyAdvise on credible external security positioning for customers, partners, and stakeholdersSupport trust-building engagement with enterprise stakeholders where your perspective and relationships can accelerate meaningful conversationsStrategic CollaborationEngage with the founder and core engineers on major technical and security milestonesParticipate in periodic architecture and security reviewsBring practical perspective from prior security leadership, advisory, or research experienceQualificationsRequiredDeep experience in cybersecurity, security architecture, applied cryptography, or secure distributed systemsStrong ability to evaluate platform-level risks, trust boundaries, and adversarial threat modelsExperience advising or leading security strategy for software, cloud, AI, or infrastructure platformsClear judgment on balancing rigorous security requirements with execution speed in an early-stage environmentAbility to communicate security risks and design tradeoffs precisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPreferredExperience with AI security, model integrity, agent security, or adversarial MLFamiliarity with identity systems, PKI, attestation, key management, or hardware-rooted trustExperience advising startups, high-growth infrastructure companies, or frontier technical programsBackground in enterprise security readiness, compliance-oriented controls, or trust architectureEstablished relationships with senior security, infrastructure, or technical decision-makers in enterprise environmentsNetwork within relevant security, infrastructure, or applied cryptography communitiesWhat Success Looks LikeWithin the first 3-6 months, you will have helped sharpen Ephapsys' core security posture, identified major architectural and operational risks, improved trust assumptions across the platform, and strengthened the company's security credibility with clear, practical guidance.Why Join EphapsysInfluence the security foundations of a novel AI infrastructure companyWork directly with the founder on trust, identity, and control architectureHelp shape a security program early, while major platform decisions are still malleableContribute meaningfully without taking on a full-time operating role
