Remediation Superintendent – CCR / Environmental ConstructionWe are seeking an experienced Remediation Superintendent to support large-scale Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) and environmental remediation projects across the U.S. This role will oversee field execution for heavy civil and environmental construction activities involving coal ash ponds, landfill closures, impoundment remediation, excavation, dewatering, cap systems, earthwork, and site restoration efforts.The ideal candidate has strong experience leading self-perform and subcontracted field crews on complex remediation or heavy civil projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, production, and quality.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily field operations for CCR remediation and environmental construction projectsManage field activities including excavation, grading, dewatering, liner installation, cap systems, haul road construction, erosion control, and site restorationSupervise craft labor, operators, subcontractors, and foremen to ensure safe and efficient executionCoordinate project schedules, manpower, equipment, and material deliveriesEnsure compliance with OSHA, EPA, environmental permitting requirements, and site-specific safety plansLead daily safety meetings, pre-task planning, and job hazard analyses (JHAs)Monitor production goals, budgets, quality standards, and project milestonesInterface with project managers, clients, engineers, inspectors, and environmental teamsReview drawings, specifications, and remediation work plans to ensure proper executionTrack quantities, production reports, delays, and field documentationAssist with punch lists, turnover, and final project closeout activitiesSupport projects involving ash pond closures, landfill construction, dredging, groundwater remediation, slurry wall installation, and CCR containment systemsQualifications7+ years of Superintendent experience in CCR, remediation, environmental, mining, landfill, or heavy civil constructionStrong background in earthwork, excavation, grading, and environmental remediation activitiesExperience working on coal ash ponds, impoundments, landfill closures, or containment projects preferredAbility to manage large field crews and multiple subcontractors simultaneouslyKnowledge of environmental regulations, remediation procedures, and heavy equipment operationsExperience reading civil drawings, grading plans, and remediation specificationsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsOSHA 30 preferredWillingness to travel extensively
