This role is central to the coaching environment—setting standards, developing coaches, and ensuring every training session meets the level of professionalism, structure, and intensity that UHP is known for.This is not just a senior coach role; it is a leadership position for someone who can:Set the toneDevelop peopleOperate with consistency and accountability in a fast-paced, immersive environmentWhat You’ll OwnCoaching Leadership & StandardsLead the day-to-day performance coaching environmentEnsure consistency in coaching quality, professionalism, and deliveryObserve sessions and provide clear, actionable feedbackAddress student and coaching issues with urgency and ownershipYou set the standard for what “right” looks like.Coach & Graduate Assistant DevelopmentConduct regular 1:1s with Performance Coaches and Graduate Assistants (GAs)Develop coaches in communication, presence, programming, and leadershipIdentify growth opportunities and prepare coaches for increased responsibilityModel accountability, composure, and leadership under pressureThis role builds coaches—not just manages them.Recruiting, Hiring & OnboardingLead Graduate Assistant recruiting (sourcing, screening, interviews, onboarding)Support hiring for performance staff as neededEnsure new team members integrate quickly into UHP’s standards and cultureInstruction & Curriculum SupportSupport delivery and refinement of training modulesPartner with leadership on curriculum development and instructional standardsContribute to career pathway development for performance staffOperational ExecutionSupport day-to-day performance operations across cohortsAct as a point of contact between leadership and coaching staffStep in as needed to maintain continuity and executionWhat We’re Looking ForRequiredExperience as a performance coach with leadership responsibilityStrong communication skills and ability to deliver direct, constructive feedbackHigh ownership, reliability, and professional maturityAbility to operate in a fast-paced, immersive, on-site environmentRelevant certification (CSCS, CPT, or equivalent)PreferredExperience leading or developing coaching teamsExperience working with military, veteran, or high-discipline populationsBachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology or related fieldBackground in mentorship, instruction, or curriculum developmentWhat Success Looks LikeCoaching sessions are consistent, structured, and high-qualityCoaches and GAs show measurable growth in skill and leadershipCommunication is clear, proactive, and aligned across the teamStudents experience professionalism, accountability, and careDay-to-day operations run smoothly with minimal oversightLeadership trusts execution is handled with consistencyWhy This Role MattersThis role directly impacts the quality of the UHP experience.
