Contract length: 3 months to start (potential to go longer)Schedule: Hybrid in Beaverton, OR (WFH Fridays)Pay: $48-$50/hr, DOE (W2 and benefit options)The Planet Group is looking for a Lead Apparel Product Designer to join our well-known retail brand on a roughly 3-month contract! This role is 40 hours per week and will be hybrid in Beaverton, OR, working remotely on Fridays.Lead Apparel Product Designer Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training5+ years of relevant work experience in the apparel sport industryDemonstrated passion and understanding of trend and visual cultureKnowledge of product creation and graphic application for performance apparelExpert communication and presentation skills using a variety of formatsAbility to seek out opportunities to elevate apparel through craft and constructionProficient in Adobe CC and comfortable working within new digital spaces such as CLO and VizcomPassion for bridging innovation to a large range of cultural relevant apparel productA collaborative mindset to work with other designers and teams while having the ability to work efficiently and autonomously when necessaryAbility to problem solve every step of the way, from concept to final designEmbody expert communication skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into focused design narratives as well as a passion and energy for sport culture, performance and designLead Apparel Product Designer Description:Guide the creative process through the design season while working with a team of innovation designers, developers, product managers, to deliver exceptional product for the brandMeet cost requirements, deadlines, and compelling product, all while taking partners through the thinking behind the workLead and develop seasonal design concepts for apparelSeek out opportunities to translate apparel culture of today through a brand lensSupport the Design leadership team to bring long term vision and strategy to lifeDesign a range of performance apparel product type including base layer to outerwear, men's and women's, mocking up samples, creating presentations/story telling, reviewing prototypes and revisions in preparation for a seasonal product launchJ-18808-Ljbffr
