Executes use of Contact Wheels, Buffs, Abrasive belts, Greases, Compounds, Gauging, Measuring devices and etc., to accomplish desired finish.How You'll Create ImpactPrepares and performs own set-ups.Selects assigned wheels, belts, compounds and greases per polishing set-up sheet and performs respective finishing operations. Confirms container identification and production router corresponds and blue print matches part number.Report production on the current Information System on a daily basis.Performs minor preventative maintenance on polishing lathe and maintains a safe, clean work area.Communicates to Supervisor any problems that affect quality and productivity.Assumes responsibility in care of fixture, tooling and gauging.Inspects parts dimensionally and cosmetically during process.Responsible to identify and record any problem relating to the product, process and quality system. Stop further processing of non-conforming product until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.Responsible to record the job steps in the PDR and any other information required in the documentation of the product and processes.This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions" for purposes of the ADA.What Makes You Stand OutGood knowledge of blue prints and math.Requires an intermediate knowledge of metals & materials processed through department. Ability to read measuring devices, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges and rule.Basic knowledge of polishing lathes for administering routine preventative maintenance.Team work and customer focus oriented.Good interpersonal relationship skillsYour BackgroundHigh School Diploma or GED with one year experience polishing or buffing using a variety of metalsEOE/M/F/Vet/Disability
