About People CarePeople Care is a New York State Licensed Home Care Service Agency (LHCSA) serving approximately 1,200 patients across all NYC boroughs, Nassau, and Suffolk County. Our ~2,000 caregivers — Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) — are the heart of what we do. We are looking for a Field People Leader to run the daily HR and People operations that keep our caregiver workforce thriving.About the RoleThe Field People Leader owns end-to-end People/HR execution for our field workforce. You will be on-site in Brooklyn and regularly across all five boroughs and Long Island, working hand-in-hand with Operations to make sure every caregiver is hired right, onboarded completely, supported day-to-day, and compliant with NYS DOH LHCSA requirements. This is a high-volume, fast-moving role that requires both strategic thinking and deep attention to detail.Core ResponsibilitiesLead field People operations: recruiting, onboarding, employee lifecycle, and core HR processes for HHAs, PCAs, and other field roles.Own high-volume caregiver recruiting pipelines across job boards, referrals, and community channels, ensuring candidates feel informed and supported at every step.Run onboarding and DOH-ready personnel files: offers, credentials, orientation, and documentation in a LHCSA-compliant environment.Serve as the first line for field employee-relations intake and coordination of investigations, working within NY and NYC employment law requirements.Partner with Operations and Scheduling on staffing levels, overtime risk, and coverage by geography and case type.Coordinate daily with offshore recruiting and onboarding partners so caregivers experience "one team" regardless of where the work is done.Track and report weekly People metrics: pipeline health, onboarding completion, compliance gaps, and open ER items.What We're Looking For3+ years of HR, People Operations, or recruiting experience in a high-volume field workforce environment (home care, staffing, healthcare, or related industry strongly preferred).Working knowledge of NYS DOH LHCSA regulations and NYC/NY employment law.Experience managing high-volume recruiting pipelines and onboarding processes.Strong employee relations skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.Comfort operating in a fast-paced, geographically distributed environment.Excellent communication and coordination skills, including experience working with offshore or remote partners.Proficiency with ATS/HRIS platforms and strong data/reporting habits.Location: Brooklyn, NY — on-site, supporting NYC (all boroughs), Nassau, and Suffolk County.Employment Type: Full-timeCompensationThe salary range for this position is $90,000 – $120,000 base per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
