This role is suited for individuals who combine strong quantitative skills with practical trading experience.The trader will work closely with the investment team to identify market opportunities and contribute to the firm’s broader investment activities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement quantitative trading strategies using statistical models and market dataExecute trades across equities, options, and derivatives marketsAnalyze market patterns, volatility dynamics, and pricing inefficienciesBacktest trading models using historical data and refine strategies based on performanceMonitor positions and manage risk within defined trading parametersCollaborate with the investment team to identify trading opportunities related to broader firm investmentsMaintain accurate records of trades, performance, and model outputsQualificationsExperience in quantitative trading, algorithmic trading, or systematic strategiesStrong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, C++, or MATLABUnderstanding of financial markets, derivatives, and options pricingExperience working with large datasets and statistical analysisStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred BackgroundExperience trading equity options, index options, or other derivatives instrumentsFamiliarity with machine learning, signal development, or statistical arbitrage strategiesPrior experience at a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or quantitative trading deskApplication InstructionsPlease submit:ResumeBrief statement of interest(Optional) Relevant work samples (models, decks, research, etc.)Send applications to: Michelle.w@icarus-fund.com
