This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring offset printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials according to specifications and production schedules. Day-to-day tasks include preparing plates and inks, loading paper, performing test runs, and making adjustments to color, registration, and alignment to maintain quality standards. The operator inspects output for defects, performs routine cleaning and minor maintenance on the press, and follows all safety and quality procedures. The role also involves working closely with production colleagues and supervisors to meet deadlines, minimize waste, and continuously improve process efficiency.Qualifications Experience operating offset printing presses and familiarity with press setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting.Knowledge of print production processes, including plate preparation, ink mixing, paper handling, and quality inspection.Ability to read and interpret job tickets, production specifications, and basic technical documentation.Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to identify and correct print defects.Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort performing routine equipment cleaning, checks, and minor maintenance.Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to workplace safety and environmental guidelines.Ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials as required, and work in a fast-paced production environment.Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in offset printing or related manufacturing environment preferred.Willingness to learn new processes, participate in training, and adapt to evolving production requirements.
