Centered around alpine cuisine, where we make our food from scratch. Commis Cook (Line Cook) is responsible for executing specific or multiple line stations & their prep during service hours. You will be responsible for food preparation, presentation and keeping a clean kitchen. If you have a passion for global cuisine and a love for learning, this is the job for you.Essential Functions And Major ResponsibilitiesPrepare ingredients by chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces.Ensures all prep is done according to recipes and portion standards. Work in close liaison with chef/sous chef.Cooking and Assembling Dishes - Cooks menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Assembles dishes with attention to presentation and quality.Maintains a clean and organized workstation.Follows sanitation and safety procedures to ensure a hygienic kitchen environment.Must be willing to work with both the Back of House and Front of House teams.Secondary Responsibilities :Wash dishesMust become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities & services Other duties as assigned Specific Job SkillsLicense/Certifications - Idaho Food Safety Certification is preferredTechnical - General Knife Skills Food Safety Physical Capabilities - Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally. Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.Additional - Worksite is 100% inside and you will be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. All sensory skills needed.There is a possibility of outdoor work during summer & shoulder seasons.Education/Related ExperienceMinimum education required - English reading and writingMinimum time in a related position - Line Cook Experience PreferredEquipment And Safety/Protective Equipment UsedNon-Slip Shoes are Required
