Position SummarySouth County Mental Health Center, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy services to adults, children, and families experiencing behavioral health and co-occurring substance use disorders. We are dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality mental health services to individuals and families in our community.Minimum QualificationsMaster’s Degree (MA/MS) in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related fieldMinimum one (1) year of therapy experience working with chronically mentally ill or dually diagnosed populationsKnowledge of behavioral health treatment principles and best practicesStrong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skillsCPR Certification or ability to obtain upon hireSuccessful completion of required background screeningPreferred Qualifications:Florida licensure as an LMHC, LMFT, or LCSWThree (3)+ years of experience working with adult and child/adolescent populationsTwo (2)+ years of experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disordersExperience utilizing Trauma-Informed Care and Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care principlesDuties And ResponsibilitiesClient Care & Therapeutic ServicesProvide individual, family, and group therapy services to in/outpatient clientsConduct clinical assessments and psychosocial evaluations as requiredEvaluate client and family needs to identify appropriate treatment interventionsDevelop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and integrated discharge plansReview treatment plans every six months or as clinically indicated (every 30 days for active substance use treatment episodes)Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and assigned workgroupsDocumentation & Record KeepingMaintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical recordsDocument all client contacts, services, and interventions within 48 hours of service deliveryEnsure documentation complies with agency, funding source, and regulatory requirementsUtilize the electronic medical record system effectively and accuratelyProfessional Development & Training Attend staff development workshops, clinical trainings, and in-service programsMaintain knowledge of current behavioral health treatment practices and DSM diagnostic criteriaParticipate in ongoing professional development activitiesAdditional DutiesPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedSupport agency initiatives related to quality improvement and client care excellenceCore CompetenciesAdvanced knowledge of chronic mental illness and co-occurring disordersUnderstanding of child, adolescent, and adult developmentKnowledge of Trauma-Informed Care, Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care, and suicide risk assessment principlesStrong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamKnowledge of Florida behavioral health regulations and best practicesPhysical DemandsRoutine sitting, computer use, and documentation activitiesFrequent face-to-face interaction with clients and familiesAbility to perform duties in a clinical outpatient settingWorking ConditionsProfessional outpatient behavioral health environmentFrequent interaction with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use challengesStandard office and clinical settingPerformance StandardsPerformance will be evaluated based on:Quality and effectiveness of therapeutic interventionsTimeliness and accuracy of clinical documentationClient engagement and treatment outcomesCompliance with agency policies, procedures, and regulatory standardsParticipation in multidisciplinary treatment planning and team collaborationSchedule & Work DetailsFull-Time PositionSchedule: Monday – Friday (hours may vary based on organizational needs)Location: In-person (Delray Beach, FL)Pay: $25/hourBenefitsWe offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time offLife and long-term disability coverageVoluntary benefit options401(k) with employer matchAdditional InformationBackground check requiredDrug-free workplaceEqual Opportunity Employer (EOE)Apply now.Because of the work we do in the community, a full background check is required for all staff.We are a drug free employer.South County Mental Health Center, Inc is an EOE.Powered by JazzHRUFHARGqKWv
