Readiness Training & Multimedia Documentation Lead

Leidos is seeking a Readiness Training & Multimedia Documentation Lead to support the delivery of mission-focused scheduling and planning solutions to defense customers and warfighters. This role is responsible for designing and delivering engaging, multimedia training and operational documentation that enables warfighters in the sustainment of their equipment.In addition to delivery, this role will drive the development of productized training capabilities-modular, scalable, and reusable training solutions that can be rapidly deployed across programs and mission environments. Your work will go beyond traditional instruction-building repeatable, scalable training products that accelerate adoption and enhance mission effectiveness across programs.Primary Responsibilities include:Multimedia Training Development & DeliveryDesign and develop multimedia training products, including:Interactive eLearning modulesScenario-based mission simulationsVideo tutorials, screen captures, and microlearning contentMobile-friendly and quick-reference assetsDeliver instructor-led and virtual training tailored to warfighter and operational audiencesAdapt training for low-bandwidth, disconnected, and forward-deployed environmentsApply adult learning principles and human-centered design to maximize usability and retentionProductized Training Capability DevelopmentDevelop modular, reusable training packages that can be deployed across multiple programs and customersEstablish standardized training architectures, including:Role-based learning pathsConfigurable content aligned to different mission setsVersion-controlled training libraries and assetsBuild "training-as-a-product" frameworks, enabling rapid onboarding of new users and programsPartner with program and solution teams to integrate training into overall solution delivery modelsDefine strategies for scaling training delivery via LMS platforms, digital repositories, and self-service learning environmentsMission-Focused DocumentationProduce operationally relevant documentation, including:Mission-oriented user guides and job aidsTactical workflows and use-case-driven instructionsQuick-start guides for rapid onboarding in theaterTranslate technical functionality into clear, mission-aligned languageEnsure documentation supports ease of use under operational constraintsAlign documentation with productized training assets for consistency and reuseUser Engagement & Field EnablementEngage directly with warfighters, planners, and operational staff to understand mission needsFacilitate hands-on training, exercises, and user feedback sessionsIterate training products based on real-world usage and operational feedbackAct as a bridge between technical teams and end users in mission environmentsContinuous Improvement & InnovationBuild and maintain a library of enterprise training accelerators and reusable multimedia assetsIncorporate emerging technologies (e.g., interactive simulations, immersive training) where mission-relevantMeasure effectiveness using adoption, proficiency, and mission impact metricsContinuously refine content to improve scalability, accessibility, and operational effectivenessBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Communications, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience developing multimedia training content (eLearning, video, interactive modules)Experience supporting DoD or defense mission environmentsExperience developing scalable or reusable training solutions across multiple programsStrong technical writing and visual communication skillsAbility to translate complex technical concepts into operationally relevant trainingActive Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Active Top Secret clearanceExperience building or managing enterprise training products or learning ecosystemsExperience training warfighters or operational end usersFamiliarity with deployed or austere environment constraintsExperience with tools such as:Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, CamtasiaVideo production and screen capture platforms* Experience supporting mission systems, digital engineering, or operational planning toolsKey CompetenciesMultimedia instructional design and storytellingProduct-oriented thinking and content modularizationHuman-centered design and user experience (UX) thinkingCommunication for technical and non-technical audiencesMission awareness and operational empathyScalability and enterprise mindsetIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
