DescriptionSUMMARY: National Capital Treatment & Recovery, formerly Phoenix House, a nonprofit substance use treatment facility in Arlington, VA is hiring a full-time Director of Business Development to lead the organization’s business development and marketing team to develop and enhance referral relationships. Responsible for developing and implementing community engagement, B2B marketing, and referral source engagement strategies. A strong understanding of healthcare business development, substance abuse & dual diagnosis market dynamics, and B2B marketing are essential. This position is a full-time, M-F 9am-5:30pm, salaried position with full benefits.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Works closely with the Chief Growth Officer to develop business development, communications, and marketing plans Responsible for BD team to meet referral goals and performance metricsDevelop account plans and implement strategies with teamOversee all social media and email marketing campaigns.Develop and grow strategic partner relationshipsPrepare and present external presentations to effectively represent services offeredCompile, correlate, & analyze data and assemble information from CRM & other data systems to facilitate increased sales growth through regular updates to managementPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorQUALIFICATIONS:Degree from accredited university in business, marketing, Social Work or related preferred. Applicable experience may be substituted for degree.Valid Driver’s License and safe driving recordKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Experience as a leader in healthcare business development / sales with broad experience in all aspects of both to include strategic planning, market evaluation, social selling, creative development, media coordination and sales promotion.3 years management experience in business development, marketing and sales department.Must possess a state driver’s license with no restrictions and meets all requirements of facility vehicle policyKnowledge of SUD and dual diagnosis market landscape and dynamicsMust be able to work with culturally diverse populationsAbility to oversee the creation of new marketing materials as needed using software/tools Organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks of varying difficulty and complexity so that deadlines are met and schedules are maintainedSelf-disciplined with an ability to work independently and under pressureUtilize strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communicationMaintain professional working relationships with staff, including being able to work remotely with team membersExercise discretion in handling details of confidential natureMust be self-motivated, set own schedule and perform duties of job with minimal supervisionPrevious healthcare marketing experience with a track record of growth is required.Ability to establish, maintain and develop business relationships with customers and potential customersKnowledge of and use in Adobe Pro software or Canva is preferred.Ability to work with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word, Adobe, social media software and other software as needed.Extensive travel: nights, weekends and the ability to work independently are essential.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
