Primary Purpose:To support implementation of district math programs and initiatives (Pre-Kindergarten through fourth grade).QualificationsEducation/Certification:Master's Degree from an accredited university with curriculum requiredValid Texas Teaching CertificateElementary CertificateGT and ESL Certificate preferredSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Working knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and staff developmentAbility to evaluate instructional programs and teacher effectivenessStrong organization, communication, and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines and TEKS for K-4Knowledge of best practices in development in math curriculumKnowledge of current research-based math instructionExperience:Five years successful elementary classroom teaching experience in math requiredClassroom experience at both primary and upper elementary levels preferredExperience with planning and presenting staff development presentations requiredExperience in development of math curriculum, instruction, and assessment programsrequiredWorking Conditions:Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing.
