Come join our growing team!Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm (OT based on business need)Job SummaryWelder I is an entry-level skilled position responsible for performing basic welding and fabrication tasks under close supervision. The role involves reading simple blueprints, operating welding equipment, and ensuring work meets safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities+ Perform basic welding operations using MIG processes.+ Read and interpret simple blueprints, drawings, and work orders.+ Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.+ Set up welding machines and select appropriate tools and materials.+ Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.+ Maintain welding equipment and report maintenance needs.+ Follow company safety standards and wear required PPE.+ Assist senior welders with complex fabrication tasks.+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.Qualifications+ High school diploma or GED required.+ Technical training or welding certification preferred.+ 1-3 years of welding experience.+ Basic knowledge of welding techniques and metal properties.+ Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.+ Ability to read basic blueprints and technical documents.+ Strong attention to detail.+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Skills & Competencies+ Basic knowledge of welding safety procedures.+ Mechanical aptitude.+ Ability to work in a team environment.+ Good hand-eye coordination.+ Willingness to learn and accept supervision.Working Conditions+ Exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise.+ Work indoors.+ Overtime may be required based on production demands.\#LI-CI1BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan.About Us:BrandSafway is a leading global provider of access, specialized services, and forming and shoring solutions to the industrial, commercial and infrastructure markets.
