Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.For over 30 years, Raytheon operates and maintains the Navy's three Relocatable Over The Horizon Radars (ROTHR). Each radar consists of a remote transmit and receive site. All radars are operated from the Consolidated Operations Control Center in Chesapeake, Virginia. Each radar is capable of covering over four million square miles across the Caribbean, Eastern Pacific, Central, and South America with all systems manned and operated 24 hours a day. The ROTHR mission is primarily to track and report the movement of aircraft and ships carrying illicit narcotics from South America toward Central America and the United States.This position is on a service contract with a set (non-negotiable) hourly rate of $27.44/hour. In addition, a Health & Welfare benefit is paid at $6.00/hour.What You Will DoSuccessful candidate is responsible for all supply functions for the site located in Freer, TX and performs limited aspects of administrative and technical supply documentation coordination work (e.g., Part, Equipment, Material requisitions, Hand-Receipts, scheduling, inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization) related to system, depot, local, or other logistics activities. Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply/logistics coordination operations, or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions.This work may require consideration of program requirements, together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines. Assignments require good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, the ROTHR program and the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS); and analytical ability to define or recognize the dimensions of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data, to establish the facts, and to take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.Maintain database of various types of files to include some employee data, statistical usage, and scenario management files and may work with or maintain the onsite technical library. Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, equipment, and materials. Responsible for the initial and replacement material/equipment procurement through established systems and for the accuracy of the Property records in the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) and actions pertaining to and the Return to Vendor (RTV) of all Repairable Assets. Successful candidate works within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines.The work requires the ability to operate a fork-lift.Occasional travel may be required to other ROTHR program sites for inventory and property management duties.Successful candidate will perform all other related duties as assigned and required.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.Minimum 1 year of applicable experience. Good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines. Understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, the ROTHR program, and the Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS).Experience operating a fork-lift. Successful candidate must have a clean motor vehicle driving record to obtain authorization to drive company vehicles.The selected candidate may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued DoD Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance and to obtain any required Export Authorization.Qualifications We PreferPrevious or current security clearance.Excellent work ethic, consistent self-starter, ability to effectively multitask and thorough attention to detail.
