SAP ABAP Consultant

SAP ABAP Consultant with the below skills to one of our primary clients, Location: Newark, CA OR Phoenix, AZ (5days WFO)Durations – 6+months Job Description:We are seeking a seasoned SAP ABAP Consultant with over 12 years of experience, including hands-on expertise in SAP S/4HANA implementations and development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing SAP ABAP solutions to meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage end-to-end SAP ABAP development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.Work on custom developments in SAP S/4HANA, including CDS views, OData services, and Fiori apps.Integrate S/4HANA with other SAP modules and external systems.Enhance and maintain existing ABAP programs in ECC and S/4HANA environments.Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues in ABAP code.Collaborate with functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers.Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices, and adherence to SAP development standards. Requirements:12+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development.Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, OData).Strong experience in classical ABAP (Reports, BAPIs, BADIs, Enhancements, ALV, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts).Knowledge of ABAP RESTful Programming Model (RAP) and SAP Fiori development is a plus.Expertise in debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex issues.Excellent understanding of business processes and SAP module integrations (FI/CO, SD, MM, etc.).Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred:SAP S/4HANA certification.Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps.
