At Lamberts, as a Class A or B CDL Driver Laborer on our Telecom Underground team, you'll begin building your career in telecommunications construction. In this entry-level role, you'll support crews in installing underground fiber and infrastructure while gaining hands-on experience with equipment, safety practices, and job site operations.

What you'll do
Assist with construction tasks such as loading/unloading materials, site preparation, and basic excavation
Support the installation of underground telecommunications cable under supervision
Operate company vehicles and basic equipment safely (training provided)
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition
Follow all safety guidelines and participate in daily safety briefings
Assist with site cleanup and restoration, including grading and general labor tasks
Work closely with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently
Learn how to read basic job plans and understand project scope over time
Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll need
Class A CDL License (or ability/willingness to obtain-depending on your preference)
18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States
High School Diploma or GED preferred
0-2 years of construction or related experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as needed
Strong work ethic and reliability
Physical abilities & exposures
Routinely: stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift (up to 50-75 lbs), and work in outdoor environments
Operate vehicles and basic equipment
Work in confined spaces and varying terrain
Occasionally: use ladders, basic tools, and handheld devices
