Mechanical Estimator

This individual will also become familiar with the company's competitive advantages and effectively communicate those strengths throughout the bidding and proposal process.Requirements:Ability to manage mechanical bid process including general conditions, HVAC, process piping and ducting, millwrighting, and structural steelPerform cost comparison and analysisRecruit and maintain relationships with quality reliable trade contractors, vendors, and suppliersEstimate cost of all mechanical plans including accurate quantity take-offsDevelop schedules and task durationsWillingness to learn and adapt to new construction methods and marketsEstablish and monitor budgets for all construction phasesHelp identify cost-saving techniques, materials, and proceduresMonitor plan changesEstimate prices of all changesManage subcontractor solicitations as neededExperience drafting subcontractor scopes of workAbility to read and understand Contract Drawings and SpecificationsMaintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding processAssist with creating submittals and coordinate with project managers during pre-construction phaseQualifications:5+ years of construction experience preferred.Travel to job sites as needed.Ability to work evenings or weekends if needed.Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans.What We Offer:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Supportive team environment with room to develop your skills and take on more responsibility.Career advancement opportunities within a respected, growing company.To be considered for this Mechanical Estimator position, please send your resume directly to: mindy.croker@gogpac.com
