Human Resources Generalist This is a hands-on Human Resources Generalist role supporting the IFS Ultimo Americas business. The position provides day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on payroll coordination, HRIS management, and administrative execution. The HR Generalist will partner with managers and employees to support core HR processes, ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations, and maintain efficient HR systems and records. This role is ideal for someone with broad HR experience who enjoys both operational and systems-focused work. This position is initially offered as a temporary contract, with the potential for full-time conversion based on business needs and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day HR support across employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, offboarding, and employee changesServe as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, payroll, and benefitsSupport employee relations matters by providing guidance and escalating more complex issues as neededMaintain accurate employee data in HRIS systems and ensure data integrity across platformsSupport and coordinate payroll processing, including salary, bonuses, commissions, and benefits-related changesPartner with Finance and external providers to ensure payroll accuracy and timely processingReview payroll data for discrepancies and assist in resolving payroll-related issuesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and wage lawsMaintain payroll records and support payroll audits and reportingSupport benefits administration including open enrollment, employee changes, and responding to employee questionsAssist in processing compensation changes, new hires, terminations, and required documentation (e.g., I-9s)Support employee and manager self-service functionality within HR systemsGenerate and maintain HR and payroll reports, including general ledger and compliance reportingSupport HR-led projects, including the transition and implementation of a new HRIS systemAssist in migrating employee data across systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity across payroll, benefits, and employee recordsHelp coordinate employee communications, training, and change management efforts related to new HR systems, policies, and processesAssist in maintaining HR policies, procedures, and documentationEnsure compliance with employment laws and internal policiesQualifications3–6 years of experience in Human Resources in a generalist or HR coordinator capacityHands-on experience supporting payroll processesExperience working with HRIS and payroll systemsStrong administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detailWorking knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and HR best practicesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting a multi-state employee populationExposure to benefits administration and open enrollment processesHR certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plusExperience in a SaaS or growing organization preferred but not requiredAdditional InformationUltimo's headquarters is based in the Netherlands with more than 2000 global customers, and is a leading Enterprise Asset Management software provider with a strong reputation for the completeness, flexibility, and configurability of its SaaS EAM solutions.In the world of Ultimo, asset management processes and the software they require take centre stage.
