Maintenance Technician

Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician is to maintain the physicalintegrity of the community in which he/she is assigned, reporting to theMaintenance Supervisor. This involves insuring a safe, secure, andcomfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff at alltimes. The Maintenance Technician is required to be on-call after RCAPbusiness hours and to respond and resolve emergencies. EducationalRequirement: \~ High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent, Vocational orTechnical school equivalent required. Experience Required: \~ Priorexperience in property maintenance work required. \~ Prior experienceworking in a residential setting is preferred. \~ Experience inapartment turnovers. \~ Must be able to work independently and completetasks with minimal supervision. \~ Must be able to take on callresponsibilities. \~ Must have basic carpentry, plumbing and electricalskills and experience \~ Experienced and able to do dry wall repairs andinstallation; painting prep and painting work. \~ Ability to work withand around people in a positive and cooperative manner. \~ Knowledge andskill in the safe use of hand tools and small power tools. \~ Mustpossess neat and orderly work habits and attention to detail. \~Knowledge in HVAC and routine preventative maintenance a plus. \~ Solidverbal and written communications in English; other languages are aplus. \~ Self-directed, reliable and responsible. \~ Valid drivers\'license along with good driving record and auto insurance is required;willingness to use personal transportation in the course of performingduties. \~ Computer literate in Microsoft Office products. Ability tosend and receive emails, enter hours worked and expenses oninternet-based system and access/perform data entry in PropertyManagement software. \~ Ability to work flex schedule to accommodateafter hour and weekend emergencies. \~ Must possess neat and orderlywork habits. Required Licensure: \~ Valid drivers\' license along withgood driving record and auto insurance is required; willingness to usepersonal transportation in the course of performing duties.
