This position will assist in maintaining a clean laboratory space while supporting other field and lab personnel to ensure quality data is collected and reported.The compensation range for this role is $21hr to $24hrTo thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:• Preparation of samples for analysis• Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment• Performing gravimetric, titrimetric, and other analyses• Determining the volume of samples• Cleaning of laboratory glassware• Preparing laboratory equipment kits for use in field tests• Assist field testing teams in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation• Work with field crews on-site with sample preparation and recovery• Maintaining clean laboratory areas• Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis• Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses• Practice safety methods and procedures and report all potential dangers and hazardsYour Expertise and SkillsThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred• High School diploma is acceptable where experience and related skills can be demonstrated• Must have prior experience working in a laboratory setting (academic lab counts)• Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safetyWork Environment and Physical RequirementsThe physical and environmental requirements below reflect what's typically needed to perform the essential functions of this role safely and effectively.
