Interim Controller

Position Summary CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking an Interim Controller based in Flower Mound, TX. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, revenue recognition, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong accrual-based accounting experience, full close cycle knowledge, and the ability to lead a small accounting team in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $123,000 - $150,000 annually Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Work Setup: Flower Mound, TX - 100% Onsite Employment Type: Interim / Temp-to-Hire Potential Key Responsibilities Oversee accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, billing, and revenue recognition Manage month-end and year-end close processes Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budget analysis Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards Support executive leadership with financial reporting and operational insights Supervise and mentor accounting staff Qualifications 10+ years of accounting/finance experience 5+ years of leadership experience Strong accrual accounting and revenue recognition experience Full close cycle experience required QuickBooks Online experience required Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred CPA/CMA preferred but not required Strong communication and leadership skills Preferred Bill.com experience Financial analytics/dashboard reporting experience Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
