JOB SUMMARY:beMatrix is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our growing team of people committed to our mission of being the best system for easy and sustainable exhibit and event building. The Production Manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of our internal supply chain, safety and quality, planning, through production, packaging & logistics. The Production Manager will lead a team of supervisors, leads, and employees in developing and achieving appropriate KPI’s for each area, ensuring people are properly trained to do their jobs effectively, monitor upcoming business needs including facility/machine maintenance, and achieve results that support our customer's needs. The Production Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations to ensure day-to-day activities are well planned and well executed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the list below. Other duties may be assigned, as needed.Hiring, training, motivating, supporting and providing guidance to operations staffEnsuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.Communicating regularly with appropriate stakeholders regarding problems or issues impacting operations.Assist with safety & quality procedures, programs and implementation.Assist and may oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of safety and quality programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal procedures to ensure operational efficiency and workplace safety.Evaluating machines/tools to ensure continued production and minimal downtimeEstablishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations.Setting productivity goals for each production team.Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.Ensuring adequate scheduling of staff to meet order timelines.Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve production or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, materials and parts.Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations.Train production personnel in new or existing methods.Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes.Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.Oversee warehouse production.Inspect machines and equipment, review operating reports and resolve operational/ maintenance issues.Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.Hands-on and focused on problem solving.Ability to set-up simple & transparent processes.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years’ experience in manufacturing leadership with responsibilities over Assembly, Logistics, and/or production planningKnowledge of OSHA guidelines in a manufacturing environmentMS Office Suite and ability to work in multiple computer systems and programsAbility to lift 15- 25 lbs.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong project management skillsProven record in training employees about safety and productionAbility to coach and motivate employeesThis is an on-site position leading a team that is currently working oKnowledge of OSHA guidelines in a manufacturing environmentProven experience with an MRP, MS Office Suite and ability to work in multiple computer systems and programsAbility to lift 15-25 lbs.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsProven records in training employees about safety and productionAbility to coach and motivate employeesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience, training, certifications, etc., in Lean / Six Sigma / 5S helpfulProven experience working with an MRP system.Basic understanding of the exhibition industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the jobInternational work experience preferred (Belgium a plus.)Forklift CertificationBachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.This is an on-site position leading a team that is currently working one shift M-F 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
