Databricks Platform Engineer

Role: Databricks Platform EngineerLocation: Onsite – Plano, TX / Middletown, NJWork Arrangement: 5 days onsiteContract Duration: 6 months with potential renewalsPosition Type: Full-Time Contract (Only on W2)Experience: 5–8+ yearsEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical fieldRequired Skills and Experience:5+ years of experience in technical support, systems engineering, production support, SRE, or application support.Hands-on experience supporting or administering the Databricks platform.Experience troubleshooting Databricks notebooks, clusters, jobs, SQL Warehouses, and workspace administration.Experience troubleshooting Spark job failures or distributed computing environments.Strong working knowledge of SQL for investigating and troubleshooting customer issues.Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.Experience with monitoring/observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, or Azure Monitor.Strong understanding of system logs, monitoring, troubleshooting methodologies, networking fundamentals, authentication, and identity management.Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line troubleshooting.Experience working with ticketing/incident management systems such as ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to identify whether an issue is related to the application, infrastructure, networking, or Databricks platform.
