Accounts Receivable Specialist

Ludlum Measurements, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to join our finance team in Sweetwater, TX. This role is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding accounts while preserving positive customer relationships.Job Type: Full-Time, In-PersonJob Duties & Responsibilities:Review and post customer payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards) accurately and timelyEvaluate customer creditworthiness and make recommendations or decisions on credit approvalEstablish and adjust customer credit limits based on risk assessmentMonitor existing accounts for changes in credit risk and apply credit holds across divisionsMonitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accountsCommunicate with customers regarding outstanding balances, payment terms, and discrepanciesReconcile customer accounts and resolve billing issues in coordination with sales and customer service teamsReview invoices, statements, and aging reportsMaintain accurate records of communications and collection activitiesAssist with month-end closing processes and reportingEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting standardsReview, verify, and process sales commission statements and communicate with representativesPerform other related duties as assignedSkills & QualificationsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred2+ years of experience in accounts receivable and/or collectionsStrong understanding of accounting principles and AR processesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsHigh attention to detail and strong organizational abilitiesProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelAbility to handle sensitive information with confidentialitySelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesFamiliarity with ERP systems preferredCompensation / BenefitsSalary is dependent upon experienceHealth, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife Insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysFlexible Spending AccountOpportunities for professional growth and developmentAbout Ludlum MeasurementsLudlum Measurements, Inc. designs and manufactures radiation detection instruments used in environmental, industrial, and governmental applications around the world.
