About The Role:
This role is not a traditional software development engineer position but an opportunity to shape the future of security tooling by designing, building, and deploying AI-powered security products. You will own the full lifecycle of large-scale, multi-tiered distributed systems that protect AWS customers, leveraging agentic AI development practices to accelerate every phase of delivery. The role involves engineering end-to-end, full-stack experiences including front-end interfaces, back-end services, REST APIs, and intelligent middleware designed for cloud-agnostic, multi-cloud environments. You will design intelligent systems such as agentic architectures, conversational interfaces, and automation workflows that make AI-first security practical at scale. Using AI-assisted coding tools, you will enhance velocity, quality, and creative output across new and existing projects. Responsibilities include planning and driving delivery, rapid prototyping, partnering closely with security researchers, applied scientists, product managers, and UX designers, and owning operational excellence through on-call rotations and root cause analysis. This role offers the chance to influence product direction in a high-trust, fast-moving environment and contribute to building a strong engineering culture focused on AI-first development.
Qualifications:
3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship)2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl Experience with AI-assisted or agentic coding practices
Preferred:
3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Preferred:
Experience building agentic coding processes (e.g., Ralph loop, parallelized agentic development)
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and ship AI-powered security products, owning the full lifecycle from architecture through production deployment
- Engineer end-to-end full-stack experiences including front-end interfaces, back-end services, REST APIs, and intelligent middleware
- Develop cloud-agnostic solutions that protect customers across multi-cloud environments
- Implement intelligent systems such as agentic architectures, conversational interfaces, and automation workflows
- Leverage AI tools and techniques to accelerate coding, testing, reviewing, and shipping of software
- Plan, estimate, and drive phased delivery of complex systems with autonomy and accountability
- Prototype rapidly, validate hypotheses with customers, and iterate to continuously innovate
- Collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams including security researchers, applied scientists, product managers, and UX designers
- Participate in on-call rotations, conduct root-cause analysis, and improve system reliability, performance, and security
- Contribute to technical reviews, mentor teammates, and champion AI-first development practices
- Help build and shape the engineering culture of a fast-growing, innovative team
