Platform Engineer

This innovative company blends storytelling, art, science, and technology to bring imaginative worlds to life, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible in entertainment.The Walt Disney Imagineering Tech Studio is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Principal Platform Engineer to support their infrastructure management and compliance needs.The Role Build, deploy, and maintain physical security patching and monitoring on virtual Windows/Linux infrastructure. Manage high-availability server, storage, and network platforms, including storage tiering and lifecycle management. Design secure infrastructure architectures with network segmentation and secure access controls. Automate deployment, configuration, and validation using Python and infrastructure-as-code. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment consistency and system lifecycle management. Mentor and provide technical direction to other engineers on complex infrastructure work.What You'll Need 10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Server Engineering, or DevOps. Strong project and delivery management skills for cross-functional security and compliance initiatives. Experience monitoring infrastructure, network, and system activity via observability platforms (Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, or similar) for performance and security. Proven ability to run vulnerability scans and risk assessments, coordinating remediation with stakeholders. Strong Python skills for infrastructure automation, deployment validation, and building security guardrails.
