This role will be responsible for developing detailed information for Cirrus Logic’s growing variety of silicon devices and related hardware, tools, and systems. Such information includes silicon design specifications, customer-facing data sheets, hardware and software architecture specifications and manuals, etc. We eagerly pursue scripting, data modeling, and process automation to operate more efficiently in collaboration with work partner teams.Responsibilities:Assess and develop information requirements for new and existing productsExecute the development of documentation, including: silicon and IP data sheets; architecture specifications; application notes; hardware and embedded firmware user manuals and white papersEvaluate and resolve information-related bugs across all potentially affected sourcesContribute to the definition and implementation of methodologies to heighten visibility of documentation status and issues; streamline documentation production and release; and improve integration with the silicon design flow and multi-functional use of design informationReview technical information for content, quality, and alignment to defined standards and requirementsConnect with internal customers/stakeholders regarding documentation-related issues and commitmentsRequired Skills and Qualifications:Experience in information development/documentation for silicon productsExperience using Adobe FrameMaker, Oxygen XML Editor, and other DITA XML toolsExperience using and configuring version control systems, bug tracking systems, content management/database systemsAbility to address and prioritize immediate tactical needs while maintaining a broader customer enablement approachDirect oral and written customer interactionStrong problem-solving skillsVery strong ability to collaborate within a cross-functional product teamSelf-discipline to balance/context switch in order to support multiple simultaneous projects and deadlinesAbility to clearly define abstract problems and develop concise and actionable solutionsBachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with experience in a semiconductor tech writing, applications or systems engineering rolePreferred Skills and Qualifications:Experience using and developing structured data content (e.g., XML, IP-XACT, DITA)Automation and scripting capabilities (e.g., Python, Perl, ExtendScript, XSLT)Mixed-signal hardware and audio-related backgroundHands-on hardware and/or software experienceAnalog, digital, and mixed-signal fundamentalsAtlassian ConfluenceMicrosoft VisioAutomation using Jenkins, CI (Continuous Integration) pipelinesExport control restrictions based upon applicable laws and regulations would prohibit candidates who are nationals of certain embargoed countries from working in this position without Cirrus Logic first obtaining an export license.
