Maintenance Site Lead
Description:This position will support our David D. Hunting YMCA and requires 3:00 - 11:00 PM availability, 3-4 days a week, plus 1-2 daytime weekend shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Site Lead assists with the safety, security, and general operation of YMCA facilities. This position requires hands on maintenance duties and the ability to work with project teams, trouble shoot mechanical problems, and work independently to effect repairs. Requirements include a good eye for cost effective solutions, ability to bid projects, weigh and assess costs and time requirements, superior interpersonal skills to assemble, direct, supervise and implement project teams to complete projects in a timely manner
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
Responsible for all preventative maintenance on fitness equipment and general repairs and inspections; works with equipment warranties and vendor repair programs
Ensures maintenance policies are adhered to at all times
Supervises project teams, assignments and completion of all projects in a timely manner
Performs preventative maintenance to fitness equipment, or delegates and oversees projects
Prepares and schedules activities and projects as needed
Supports and maintains professional rapport with members, vendors, and staff
Performs minor and routine painting, plumbing, construction, and repair, as well as other related maintenance activities
Maintains all areas in clean, presentable fashion
Contributes to general training and coaching of maintenance team
Assists with meeting preparations and team communications
Assists with general cleaning and grounds as needed
Upholds all safety standards, MSDS documentation, and models
Performs any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association
COMPENSATION
$20.00 - $23.00 ; Full-Time, Non-Exempt (40hrs/week)

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); 1-3 years of equipment maintenance; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. Working knowledge of building and ground cleanliness. Ability to troubleshoot basic wellness equipment mechanical issues and manage the preventive maintenance of fitness equipment. Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within the first 90 days
First Aid Certification required within the first 90 days
AED-Oxygen Certification required within the first 90 days
Blood Borne Pathogen training
State of Michigan criminal background clearance (ICHAT)
Certified Pool Operator within first year of employment, preferred

TRAVEL
5-10% of local travel within the state of Michigan, primarily between other branch locations in the Greater Grand Rapids Association; occasional out-of-state travel maybe required for educational conferences or training.
