We are the proud facilitators of Girl Scout camp at five Indiana locations, conveners of thousands of Girl Scout programs with nearly 600 community partners and serve thousands more community members each year at our STEM Center of Excellence and Founders Lodge Event and Conference Center.What You Will DoThe Girl Experience Manager will be working in person in the following counties: Bartholomew, Brown, Clay, Decatur, Franklin, Greene, Hendricks, Lawrence, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Ripley, Sullivan, Switzerland, Vermillion, & Vigo.The Girl Experience Manager ensures the implementation and execution of strategic plans, goals and initiatives of program pillars (STEM, Entrepreneurship, Outdoors, and Life Skills), including but not limited to planning, programming and oversight of council community programs within a geographical region on the CAN team.This role will rely on local data, surveys, and input from service units, girls and families when creating program offerings, as well as the annual council program portfolio.How You Will LeadDirect the implementation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE), program pillars (STEM, Entrepreneurship, Outdoors, and Life Skills) and badges; develop strategies, and internal and external collaborations to advance programmatic priorities within GSCI. Provide oversight, design, implementation, facilitation and assessment of high quality, relevant, well-executed, outcomes-based programs, and effective delivery systems to meet the needs and interests of girl members and adult volunteers from diverse ages, communities, and backgrounds. At least half of all programs offered within geography will be tied to GSUSA badges.Develop meaningful partnerships and engaging programs with community program providers.Expand and maintain a robust portfolio of programming for girls in designated within your geographic area and cached within gsEvents. Ensure council revenue goals are achieved through program fees by preparing program project budgets in conjunction with the Senior Director of Girl Experience.Attend weekly CAN team huddles.Advance long- and short-term innovative program initiatives that help retain and attract new members and develop leadership skills in girls and adult volunteers. Recruit, manage, support, and recognize volunteers and volunteer committees to meet the goals and objectives for GSCI.Monitor dashboards daily to track individual and team progress, as well as team goals.Exemplify and model professional and quality customer service to members, volunteers, staff, and other community contacts, which includes, but is not limited to returning calls and emails, addressing, and closing cases, following up on tasks, and documenting all customer interactions in Salesforce within 8 business hours.Ensure teams use outcome measurement and evaluation tools for all programs; implement assessments, report results, and adapt program curriculum and delivery based on results. Work in partnership with the council’s marketing and communications team to disseminate (often time-sensitive) information to members and the community.Ensure safety and risk management compliance with ACA, ARC, ACCT, GSUSA, GSCI, state and regulatory standards, and other relevant regulatory organizations.Seek and accept opportunities for professional growth.Ensure that diversity and pluralism is embraced and incorporated into the daily work of the position and maintain diversity and participation for all programs.Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience design and articulate organizational values, mission and goals to constituents and stakeholdersParticipate in community and cultural events and programs.Foster and embrace a culture of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and amongst the membership.Participate as a fully engaged member of designated CAN team.Participate in large council programs, such as, but not limited to, United We Lead, Circle the City and More than Cookies.Other duties as assigned to support the goals and objectives of GSCI. RequirementsWhat We are Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, relevant experience accepted.2 years or more experience supervising staff/volunteers preferred.Knowledge of the fundamentals of child/youth development.Organized and self-motivated; strong human relations and communications skills; ability to effectively manage multiple projects at one time.Successful community organization experience and ability to supervise volunteers and staff.Demonstrated leadership experience working with girls and adults.Creativity, flexibility, and ability to handle a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.Model behavior consistent with the Principles of Inclusiveness and Girl Scout Mission, Promise, Values and Law.Knowledge of Girl Scout program, principles, standards, and guidelines is essential but can be learned on the job.Proficiency with computer programs and familiarity with database systemsMust hold membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl Scout promise and Law.Must complete and pass a criminal background check. Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility and willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights; ability to travel as job requires. Must have reliable transportation. Ability to travel from the GSCI office to sites within the Council service and program jurisdiction area.Ability to perform tasks that require walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching and moderate lifting (less than 30 pounds).Ability to sit at a workstation for up to 2 hours at a time.Ability to sit and view a computer monitor for up to 2 hours at a time.Ability to tolerate exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
