Respiratory Therapist Compensation The pay for this position is $27–$30 per hour Based on experience Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates Respiratory Therapist Highlights This position is a 13-week contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs The required availability for this position is 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12 night shifts), every other weekend and holiday Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities Deliver life-support care, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical gas therapy to patients Perform invasive and non-invasive respiratory diagnostic procedures for ICU and general practice units Provide respiratory support for NICU patients as required Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate updates to physicians and care teams Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the EMR system (Cerner) Maintain clinical expertise for respiratory therapy assignments across various hospital units Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care needs Supervise and assist respiratory therapy students, externs, and new staff as assigned Ensure accurate completion of patient billing documentation Respiratory Therapist Requirements Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board of Respiratory Care Current Respiratory Therapist License – State of Michigan BLS Certification Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience NICU experience (must be current or within the last year) Experience with Cerner EMR system Strong communication and organizational skills Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days Respiratory Therapist Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Experience with High Frequency Oscillating Ventilators Experience with Servo I and Servo U ventilators If you think this Respiratory Therapist position is a good fit for you, please apply to this posting with Silvana M. with A-Line!
