Privately Held, Private Equity-backedAbout the RoleThe Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance function of a private equity-backed food manufacturing business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the core CFO activities, including financial reporting, accounting discipline, lender communication, covenant awareness, and cash management. This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving environment, where the CFO will have a direct impact on performance, lender confidence, and transaction readiness. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in finance, with a strong background in financial reporting, accounting controls, and experience in a leveraged environment, preferably within a private equity-backed or publicly traded company. M&A experience and a background in food, protein, commodity-driven, consumer products, or manufacturing are highly valued.The CFO will be expected to bring clarity, control, and confidence to the finance function, and to work closely with the CEO to support commercial decision-making and margin discipline. Success in this role will be measured by the establishment of strong financial processes, improved visibility into cash and operational performance, and the ability to build and lead a resilient finance team. The role offers the opportunity to make an immediate and visible impact, and to participate in a long-term incentive structure with a clear path to value creation. The candidate should be hands-on, entrepreneurial, and commercially practical, and be prepared to operate in a lean environment.
